Space & accessSetting up, surfaces and carrying equipment
  • We need an open 4×4m space for our gazebo and machine. The machine is 78cm wide, 1.4m high and 1.4m long. Please send photos of the access and cooking location, with the dimensions of any entrance or door.
  • If there’s no side entrance, there are stairs or anything blocks access, we’ll add a staff member to help the chef carry the equipment. This can also apply depending on event size or menu.
  • If we need to set up at the rear of a garden or behind a marquee, an assistant is required. If you don’t tell us beforehand and we arrive with one staff member, a £100 fee applies, paid to the staff member carrying the kit alone. Our insurance means guests can’t help carry.
  • The London Hog Roast Company Ltd isn’t responsible for damage that may unintentionally occur if we need to go through a building without outdoor access; you take on that responsibility.
  • We recommend setting up on grass. On any other surface you’ll need to provide a cover on arrival and take full responsibility for any damage.
  • We recommend setting up near a clear exit, so we can leave without disturbing your event.
  • No driveway? Please keep a space free in front of your property before we arrive, by parking your car or putting out your bins.
On the dayArrival, serving time, leftovers and allergies
  • Depending on the size of hog, we arrive and need access 6–8 hours before serving time. A power source is required, and we can only roast outdoors with this gas machine.
  • We serve food for 1 hour. Extensions or a late-running event are charged per staff member at £45 for up to 30 minutes or £70 for up to an hour, paid in cash to the staff member.
  • Serving after 8pm carries a £50 late fee per staff member to cover their transport home, paid in cash on the day.
  • We don’t take leftovers away. They’re placed in dishes you provide on the day.
  • Please tell us about any food allergies when you book. Our marinade sauce contains traces of gluten, and we don’t recommend it for anyone with a bean, egg or soya allergy. Salad ingredients are listed on our salads page.
Booking, cancellation & paymentDeposit, balance, travel and extra charges
  • A £100 deposit, paid by online banking, secures your event. Ten days before, we confirm all arrangements and the balance is due.
  • We need 21 days’ notice to cancel. Cancelling with less notice forfeits your deposit.
  • £2 per mile applies to venues 20 miles or more from our KT9 or GU35 bases.
  • Any parking, congestion or emissions charges at the venue are added to your final balance.
  • Our machines are PAT tested and gas certified, and we hold £10 million public liability insurance.
  • Paying the deposit confirms the terms have been discussed with us and you agree to them.
